Balls & Glory, the meatball restaurant uber-popular among the Ghentse hypsters, opened a new spot in Brussels in June.
It is a pop up restaurant (for now) which has invaded the not less trendy Flamingo in the rue de Laeken, in front of the Flemish theater. A wall now separates the café from the restaurant, which maintained the dark green interior and relaxed atmosphere.
The concept is simple : a meatball with special fillings – you can choose among the 3 kinds of the day, including a veggie one (Ghentse hipsters, I told you) -, served with stoemp or a fresh salad.
The service? Without fuss. Get to the counter, order your lunch, wait for it (like 12 seconds or so), pick a table and enjoy.
It is tasty, original and the casual ambiance and friendly staff definitely make your lunch at Balls & Glory a very nice break on a working day.
Enjoyable extras, fresh water jars and (a bit sour?) apples wait for you on the tables.
So, if, like mine, your better half shows no interest (to put it mildly) in your salad bar proposals, give yourself a treat and have a nice, quick and tasty lunch at Balls & Glory !
If you really have no time to lunch together, ease up your evening and get your dinner from the ball shop – you even have more flavors choice !
